Denominationalism Thwarts Unity In The Body Of Christ

In the days of the Apostle Paul there was one church in each city. In the Revelation of Christ to John on the Isle of Patmos, there was one church in each city. I believe that Denominationalism detracts from the teachings of our Lord. I believe that Denominationalism causes us to look at the teachings of a man, instead of adhering to the teachings of God in the Old and New Covenants.

If you read the Tanach (The “Old Testament” Torah, prophets, writings, etc.) then you will see how Israel fell away from God for long periods of time. Then after a period of time, a prophet received an oracle of the Lord, or a King found the ancient scrolls of the Torah and read it with new eyes, and suddenly a nation was called to repentance in sackcloth and ashes. As they humbled themselves before the Lord, they confessed their sins and wept in humility before Him. Because of their repentance, the Lord forgave them and healed them; He protected them and blessed them. Though they were scattered, repentance brought them together as One People.
