The World Is Coming To An End
The world is coming to an end.
It is teeming with life that was doomed before it was born.
The very rich and powerful have purchased immunity from suffering, while the poor and helpless lie down to sleep in the very dust to which they will soon return.
From the fall of man to our present day, the war between good and evil has been waged in the hearts and souls of man.
Those who know enough to fear God and accept the gift of His Son know that the earth in this present state is not what they will inherit. Thank God, because if that were all that was left by the time man was through with it, it would be something of a sick joke.
Countless millions throughout the past several decades have seen the sweeping destruction of disease, famine and hopelessness. A few of them, by comparison, have heard the good news – that this is not all there is. The truth that Jesus died for them so that even though their bodies are ravaged by sickness because of starvation, medical experimentation, and biological warfare: even though there is no question that they will die a physical death, there is all eternity to rest and rejoice and recover because Jesus also rose from the dead. He conquered death, hell and the grave. He will come back for us, and he will raise from the dead all who believed on him or watched expectantly for his coming.
This must be something like that paradigm shift that the New Agers enjoy speaking about so much. It kind of jerks you up short when you realize that there is NO HOPE in this world. NOTHING GOOD in it that can stem the tide of death that has been sweeping over the earth.
Satan is truly the prince of this world, and he knows his time is short. Not only did he fool our first parents into eating of the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil, so that they would indeed die as God warned, but he is assisting the few very rich and very powerful to network with each other so that they may “heal the earth” and cleanse it of its blights: the masses of people, especially brown and black people, who live in artificial poverty and pre-planned contagion.
This paradigm shift… it is the full understanding that through many ages past, certain men have ordered the affairs of the main population. That their hands and their plans reach out from beyond the past, from the pages of history that we understood to be myth, assisted by Satan and his minions, joining with the hands of their heirs and directing the course of humanity to the edge of the cliff.
We in America watch what happens in “third world countries”. The sweat comes to our brow and our upper lips. We feel our hearts begin to race, and our minds start to focus on the thread of similarity between these events and…
NO! We mustn’t say the words. Someone may be listening. They may report us.
Or they may agree, and THEN what will we do with the consciousness that is awakening? It is better to be still and try to do business as usual.
But there is no such thing as business as usual… not anymore.
The more our eyes are opened, the more we realize that we have been dropped like a teabag into the pot to slowly steep… our flavor is almost gone, and soon we will be worth nothing, unless we wake up.
The by-products of some of the most heinous sin in this world give us all the comforts of home.
We eat food that is contaminated by agents that were discovered in the course of immoral laboratory research. After all, since the world didn’t put up a hue and cry while they were in the testing phases, it shouldn’t matter if they bring it out of the laboratory, into the market, and onto your dinner plate.
We fund research whose nature we cannot even discover, but new diseases keep springing up – diseases for which there is no cure: diseases that are wiping out whole regions of brown and black people.
We fund abortion and we hear rumors that some of the “by-products” are being used commercially, but we don’t know how to find out, so we side step the whole question.
The rich and powerful few who control the world have seen to it that we are unwitting partakers of their transgression, and there is no earthly way to stop them or turn back the tide.
NOW we care. Now that it is too late.
The New Age/New World is not a benefactor to mankind. It is not a benefactor to the earth. It is a plan to destroy 90% of the world’s population by disease and war, and it has been sneaking into every corridor and avenue of human life for many decades. It is insidious and impossible to stop – like trying to keep moisture out of a dry sponge that you throw into a bucket full of water.
But why weren’t the Christians able to stop it?
They were not meant to.
Jesus did NOT come to make us rulers over this present world. He came to provide a way back to God’s Kingdom. He came to teach us how to love, how to prefer one another in love, and how to spread the gospel to dying men. He came to conquer death, hell and the grave, and to redeem fallen man.
But why are people still dying?
The devil said to Eve, “you shall not surely die”, so that she would eat the fruit that would open her eyes to the difference between good and evil – up close and personal knowledge that would haunt her and her offspring for the rest of their lives. She discovered that death would truly come when her son Cain killed her son Abel. No fruit from the Tree of Life to keep him alive. But then, think of the possibilities for someone like Cain having free access to that tree. Herein we begin to see God’s wisdom.
But the devil also says to us: if God really saves men, then why are they dying by the droves? If your Jesus saves, why doesn’t he stop the AIDS in Africa? Or the genocide in so many “third world countries”? Even Christians begin to wonder the same thing, and so many are taken up with the idea that they are going to get out of this alive! They think they are going to escape and be “raptured” out of it. They fear death as much as the unbeliever sitting beside to them on the bus, or in the next cubicle, or on the golf links, or at the theater.
Satan’s lie is inverted, yet it is the same lie he told Eve… “you shall not surely die”.
Oh yes, we shall.
We shall die the first death, because Eve didn’t obey God, and Adam didn’t grab up his wife and say, “NO, Honey… NO! You don’t know him like I do, you weren’t around when I watched all the animals and gave them names according to their nature. You don’t know that he isn’t supposed to be talking to you about God. Just put down the fruit and back away from the tree, and we’ll go talk to Dad about this, and it will all be okay.”
No, the Bible says that Adam was there with Eve while the drama with the serpent was going on. Was he too afraid of being parted from this beautiful and excellent mate? Did he, knowing that she was flesh of his flesh and bone of his bone, think he would also die? Or did he just not think that life would be worth living if he let Eve die alone? Did the serpent’s words beguile him as well, so that he thought it was reasonable to have his eyes opened so that he would be like a god, knowing the difference between good and evil?
Eve blamed the serpent, Adam blamed Eve, and sin entered the world with a bang.
But God made us with souls, and with spirits.
Even animals have souls. They can feel love and fear and pain.
But animals don’t have spirits. They cannot connect with God in the way that Adam and Eve did in the Garden. The way that we who have accepted God’s rule once more can.
Animals die. They are buried or not. They are remembered or not. They are wonderful, or not. But they cannot be “saved” in the way that man can be saved. No, creation groans and waits for the redemption of man because that will signal the end of tribulation for all the rest of creation.
Men die. Women die. Children die. Their bodies go down to the dust, whether their decay rate is slowed by embalming agents and costly caskets, or hastened by cremation. And their souls and spirits wait for judgment. If they accepted the rule of God through Christ, they will rise to eternal life. If they did not, they will go through the second death.
So THAT’S what Satan meant. He tried to tell us that if we are believers in Christ, we shouldn’t die. That is, we shouldn’t experience physical death. Impossible as that seems to believe, yes, there are too many in the world today who believe that they will fly out of here before things get really bad, and they will escape the terrors to come! Simply because they accepted the gift of everlasting life through the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ!
The Bible says that those who are alive and remain will be caught up into the air and so shall they always be with the Lord.
It does NOT say that all Christians should expect to get out of here without experiencing pain or suffering or death.
It also says there will be a great falling away. A lot of people are going to give up on God because they aren’t getting what they wanted. When the going gets tough, they are going to turn back. They are going to sit in disbelief for a while, and then they are going to switch sides.
Then the faithful will experience persecution like they never have before.
There is a saying, “Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned.”
But the truth is, there is nothing worse than an ex-believer. No sign of hope lost like the things you hear in a discussion with a former Christian…
“I begged God to save him, but he died anyway! I hate Him for not answering my prayer.”
“But don’t you realize that he loved the Lord and went home to heaven?”
“I don’t care! He left me all alone, and I blame God!”
“But you aren’t alone… God is with you.”
“If that’s God, I want no part of Him!”
And so it goes.
Jesus said that in the world we would have tribulation, but that we should be of good cheer for He has overcome the world. Those who don’t read the entire story will not be able to endure, because they will not know there is much that we MUST endure, and we won’t know the promises that Jesus made to those who endure to the end.
Satan wants us to believe that we either go into the dust and “are no more”, or that we get re-incarnated, so whatever happens to us must be something our “higher self” has designed for our learning. In fact, he doesn’t care WHAT we believe, as long as we don’t recognize the fact that it is appointed unto man to die once, and then the resurrection.
Not all resurrections will be happy resurrections.
There are many countless souls who will rise up from the grave to meet the Lord as they review their lives and see that there is none to speak for them. They have no advocate as Satan stands accusing them. They will go away to the second death, where they will live in the circumstances that are afforded for the enemies of God and the agents of their brothers’ destruction. They will go to the very place that Satan convinced them didn’t exist, even though their consciences tried to tell them the truth. The will go knowing that it is right and just, and they will curse God because they know He is right!
Satan told them “you shall not surely die”.
And so it goes.
I check the labels on everything I buy; to be sure I understand all that is listed. I do not want the by-products of some unclean or defiled thing in the shampoo or make-up I use. I do not want unknown chemicals or bio-agents in the food I eat. I do not want strange compounds in the water I drink. I don’t want to put money in the coffers of those who favor the rich and prey on the penniless. I try to research things about which I have doubts, knowing that I may never get at the truth because I am not meant to.
As I ponder the “Green” movement, I see it is truly nothing new. It is just New Age/New World by another name.
I love the part about it that tries to protect the earth, because truly the rich and powerful have raped and mined and burned and pillaged the earth’s population in its inexorable quest for riches and power and more power and riches.
I hate the part about it that tries to make us believe that the Earth is a living creature with a consciousness and that we are simply microbes on the surface that need to be kept under control. The very ones who are propagating that story are the ones who have learned it from their father, the devil, for it is his own point of view, and he knows his time is short. He is not omniscient, or omnipotent, or omnipresent. He is not an equal opposite of God, and he doesn’t know everything. The proof of this is the fact that if he had known that Jesus was going to rise from the dead, he never would have stirred up the crowd to crucify Him.
The Lord tells the church to wake up! WAKE UP! The time is at hand, and you need to be AWAKE NOW!
You are just in time to buck up and walk as a mature man in Christ! You are just in time to see that the day is far spent, and the night is close at hand, when the prince of this world, Satan, will stir up the enemies of God against the believers and the war will begin!
You are just in time to shed the peripheral and inconsequential things of this world, and to being to look around you to see how you can be used of God in these last days. You are just in time to stop thinking the universe revolves around the small concerns of your life, and to reach out to those who are dying without hope. You are just in time to take your place in the Body of Christ, be it as an eyelash, or a thumb, or a heel, or a spleen, or a hand or foot or mouth!
We are not our own. We will go through the fiery furnace of affliction, but if our hearts are set on God, if our trust is in the Lord, then we will overcome. We who put our trust in Him shall not be ashamed.
Even though we are thrown into prison, or tortured, or censured, or separated from our families, or fired from our jobs, if our trust is in the Lord, He can use us to spare another poor soul from Hell. If our trust is in Him, we will not be afraid to share the hope we have in Christ, and we can be like Paul who sang and praised the Lord while he was in chains and sitting chest deep in waste!
He who would save his life shall lose it. He who would lose his life for the Lord’s sake shall save it.
That is our paradigm. It is one the world cannot understand, and as we see the world spinning wildly out of control, it is our faith in God and trust in the final outcome that will keep us awake and aware and ready. While the rest of the world is in horror at the things they are seeing, we have already been warned.
To those who think the Lord is just going to get us out of here before it all comes down, I ask you: why would God warn us ahead of time about something that has nothing to do with us?
The world is coming to an end, and most of the flesh upon the earth will die. But there will be a new heaven and a new earth, and we shall at last be members of the Kingdom of God, who shall be under the Government of God, and there shall be no more shame, no more crying, no more death, no more lying, no more, no more, no more.
No more sin.
When the Holy Spirit led Jesus into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil, Satan offered Jesus all the kingdoms of the world if He would just bow down and worship him.
Satan could offer this to Jesus because at that moment in human history, all the kingdoms of the world were truly his! What a coup for him if the Son of God should bow down and worship him! He could rule with an iron fist and make men subject to His every whim. He was/is after all the Son of God, and He could simply share in the power structure that was already in place.
But Satan was also offering to Jesus what was already HIS! You don’t pour new wine into old wine skins. You don’t overlay the Kingdom of God on a kingdom that is ruled by Satan. You don’t take by force what you are dying to give…
And Jesus refused.
Instead He went to the cross to die. He took upon himself the sins of the whole world, past, present and future. His was the blood that must be shed for the remission of sins, the blood of the spotless sacrifice, without blemish, without sin. His was the acceptable sacrifice, the final atonement, and the last blood to be shed so that man could be saved and reconciled to God. He became our Advocate, the one who will speak up for us at that great day of Judgment, when Satan shall accuse, but He shall answer for us: “He is justified.”
Jesus will return, and then He will come as the conquering King! Satan and all his minions will be destroyed, and the Lord will reign once and for all. But until that happens, we must remember that our weapons are not carnal, but spiritual, because we aren’t fighting flesh and blood! We are fighting spiritual enemies, spiritual wickedness, and we must put on the whole armor of God in order to fight the good fight until we OVERCOME!
We live on a string called time. We are stuck on it. We have a history, we have a future, and we have a fluid thing called NOW. NOW is the time that we really have. The history that is behind us is constantly being revised. The ancient landmarks are being removed. We are being set up.
As soon as you say NOW, by the time you get the word out of your mouth, it is already in the past. Soon it will be part of yesterday, and by your word, either you will be acquitted, or you will be condemned.
NOW is the acceptable day of the LORD! There IS no tomorrow. Jesus told us not to take thought of tomorrow in the sense that we worry and worry about things that God means to provide for us! All our focus is on material things, when God would have us SEEK HIS KINGDOM!
Now is the time. Now is the acceptable day to return to the Lord: the time to repent of our sins. Now is the time to prepare for what is to come.
The world is coming to an end. But God has provided for our lives to continue, and He will see us through if we have faith. There is NO hope in the world, but OUR HOPE IS IN THE LORD OF HOSTS!
Do we have enough faith to be useful servants as we see the day approaching? Are we still salty?
